Emmy 2018: vincitori e vinti

Ieri sera si è svolta a Los Angeles la premiazione dei 70esimi Emmy Awards.

 Il vincitore assoluto della serata è stato senza dubbio la serie comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon) che si è portata a casa ben 5 premi: miglior serie comedy, attrice protagonista e non protagonista e anche regia e sceneggiatura. Una bella rivincita per la creatrice Amy Sherman-Palladino, per anni snobbata per Una mamma per amica. Gli altri premi comedy sono andati a Barry.

Ottimi risultati anche per Game of thrones che ha vinto come miglior serie drama e come miglior attore non protagonista drama. Forse però sarebbe stato meglio premiare la stagione conclusiva di una serie meravigliosa come The Americans: per fortuna hanno premiato il favoloso Matthew Rhys come miglior attore drama e gli sceneggiatori. Diciamo che a mio parere i due premi a GoT avrebbero anche potuto non darli.

Nella categoria miniserie un altro ottimo risultato per Ryan Murphy: la sua miniserie su Gianni Versace porta a casa i premi come miglior miniserie, regia e attore protagonista.

Indubbiamente grande sconfitto della serata è stato The Handmaid's tale: pioggia di nominations ma nessun premio portato a casa.Nelle categorie attoriali non avrà aiutato la presenza di più nominati.

CONSIDERAZIONI: anche qui, come già per le comedy, ne ho viste poche per cui difficile dare un giudizio. Contentissima per le nomination a Gianni Versace, in particolare quella per Darren Criss, una vera rivelazione (in Glee non mi aveva sempre convinta a livello attoriale). Ottima anche la nomination per The Alienist, avrei voluto vedere alcuni suoi attori premiati. Favoloso come sempre Benedict Cumberbatch, per cui nomination giustissima per lui.

CONSIDERAZIONI: io guardo davvero poche comedy quindi difficile dare un giudizio dal momento che la maggior parte di queste serie non le guardo. In ogni caso molto bene le nomination per Mrs Maisel e per GLOW. Per quanto riguarda quest'ultima serie però avrei voluto la nomination anche per Alison Brie. Peccato anche per l'assenza di The good place come miglior serie e per Kristen Bell come miglior attrice ma almeno Ted Danson ha avuto un riconoscimento. Doppia nomination sia per Donald Glover che per Sterling K. Brown!

CONSIDERAZIONI: nel complesso nomination che mi piacciono parecchio. Molto contenta per tutte i nominati per This is Us e The handmaid's tale, in particolare per la nomination alla Strahovski. Mi spiace però per la mancanza di Mandy Moore e Justin Hartley per This is Us, soprattutto quest'ultimo meritava. Anche Noah Schnapp, spettacolare nella seconda stagione di Stranger Things, avrebbe meritato qualcosa. Noia vedere ancora una volta Peter Dinklage nominato: sono almeno 2-3 stagioni che in GoT non ha materiale degno del suo talento. Avrei preferito vedere qualcun'altro al suo posto.
